Please note that this class is solely focused on the foundation of menswear, how to style men and how to create and position your personal brand for success. Week 1: Understanding The Basics of Menswear

In your first class you'll learn the basic concepts and all the relevant terminology used in the menswear industry. We'll explore every aspect of a gentleman’s dress code and wardrobe. In menswear it's all about the details so we'll look at clothing (such as suits, native attires, trousers and shirts), footwear (casual and formal) as well as accessories (bracelets, neckties, wristwatches and all other important accessories).

Week 2: Men’s Styling: The Nub

Have you ever seen a man wearing a nice outfit and when you look more closely, you realize that something is off about the shoe (perhaps it's a square toe shoe or they are worn out), or the shirt sleeve is too short or too long, and his pants puddle on the floor because they are too long? In this class we'll work on proper fit, proportion and style.

• 10 Practical Styling Skills To Acquire: How to Tie a Neck Tie; How to Wear a DB Suit; Accessorizing with Jewelry, Belts, Bags, and Shoes.

Week 3: Learn How to Work With Male Clients and Build Your Brand!

• The Menswear Stylist's Role

Week 4: Work Week & Graduation Exam

In this class, we'll be working on a project - a real-life Style Consultation. At the end of this class, you'll take your final exam. , you’ll walk away and proudly can call yourself a certified Menswear Style Consultant.

  - 50 True/False, Multiple choice questions (worth 1 mark each)

  Grading: A : 70-100; B : 60 - 69; C: 50 - 59; D: 40 - 49; E: 30 - 39; Below 30 = F

Menswear Styling Certification - You will receive a certificate on successful completion of your Final Exam with a Pass Mark of above 50%.

If you scored less than 50% - You will have to prepare and repeat the Final Exam one more time at no extra cost before you can be issued a certificate.
